"Mermaid`s Pearl is truly a beautiful beach house that truly allows everyone to relax and enjoy their time. The amenities are endless, from the outdoor furniture to the elevator, this house has it all. We vacation each year with another family, who rents another house in Village Realty, that came over multiple nights to sit out on the deck to watch the sunset. Nine adults all had a place to sit and had plenty of additional space. The indoor furniture and beds are quite comfortable as I would find myself falling asleep after the sunset on the couch every night. Thank you Mermaid`s Pearl and thank you Village Realty for giving my family another wonderful and well needed vacation!!!"

"Excellent property, clean and well kept. The elevator was a life saver for our limited mobility persons. Our whole group really enjoyed the stay. My only suggestion would be a new coffee maker, that thing was on its last leg."

"Mermaids Pearl is our favorite house to stay in when visiting the Outerbanks. Located sound side, it’s peaceful and beautiful. Convenient to the Village Beach and Racquet club, beach access, restaurants and shops. House is spacious and the perfect layout. With an elevator, all family members young and old have easy access to all levels. This home is well appointed and cared for. Our family looks forward to many more years at Mermaids Pearl."

"October 2018 Stay - Rally liked the layout of the house, very comfortable. However, only top floor master has tv in bedroom and grill is charcoal at ground level. During our stay, it was dark by dinner time and there were no lights that reached the location. Other features like kitchen, beds, etc were very good and view of bay is excellent."

"September 2018 Stay - We had a lovely week! The house was absolutely wonderful and had all the extra amenities we love in the house especially the hot tub and the elevator! We had a problem with a sluggish bathtub drain and Pam came right away on the Labor Day holiday and took care of it. Thank You Pam! We look forward to another vacation on the Outer Banks and we will consider renting The Mermaid’s Pearl once again. "

"July 2015 Stay - Thank you VR we had a terrific stay and the house was beautiful. The kids wete wishing fkr a rain day jist so we could have a "house" day! The house was well cleaned, perfectly kept and only more beautiful than the pictures showed. We hope to be back next year! "
