Beach Gnome is a beautifully furnished soundside home centrally located at Milepost 6 in Kill Devil Hills. Built in 2017, this immaculate beach house features stylish and up-to-date fixtures and finishes throughout. Your family can gather and make memories in the open-concept great room with neutral tones, vaulted ceilings and hardwood flooring. The chef in the group will appreciate the kitchen's stainless steel appliances and an island with bar seating that overlooks the dining area. The primary bedroom includes a spacious ensuite bath with a large vanity and ceramic tile flooring. Downstairs, the rec room can serve as an additional hangout space, equipped with comfortable seating, TV and electric fireplace. There's even a foosball table for hours of indoor entertainment. Outside, you'll find a thoughtfully landscaped backyard with a grassy lawn, perfect for kids and dogs. After a day at the beach, come home and rinse off in the enclosed outside shower before taking a relaxing soak in the saltwater hot tub. End the evening by gathering family and friends around the backyard fire pit while you plan the next day's adventures under the stars.
Guests at Beach Gnome can walk or bike to the Avalon Drive beach access, just a half mile away. While you're there, visit the Avalon Fishing Pier located next door, and grab lunch or dinner at Awful Arthurs across the street. On the other end of Avalon Drive, community sound access is provided for launching kayaks and SUP's, or to simply take in the breathtaking waterfront sunsets.

"Stayed for the month of August. With a stay that long, you tend to need more stuff, the house had everything, and a lot of what I packed was unnecessary. Kitchen is well stocked with plates, plastic containers, coffee machine, bowls of all sizes, etc. A few of the pots could be swapped out and the knives could use sharpening, but not a big deal. I had to work and was pleasantly surprised the monitor worked and necessary cables to connect to my laptop were there, and didn’t need mine. The TVs in the common spaces were smart/roku so didn’t need my Apple TV either. The owners have anticipated what guests need and it was very much appreciated. The house is very comfortable and having 2 lounging areas was great especially when I had to work and my family was upstairs. The house definitely runs cold so pack that extra sweatshirt. Village Realty was great regarding the one issue with a swarm of flies in the garbage that needed pest control. Only improvements, would have been nice if basic cooking seasoning like salt, pepper, olive oil etc. were available. And there is no recycling bin- hated throwing all the plastic in the garbage. KDH is definitely the busiest part of OBX which I didn’t love but super central. Outside walking the dog to the Sound we drove everywhere."

"Stay was very good. House was very nice! Beautiful weather all week. The house is a good walk to the sound but just a few blocks to long to walk to the beach plus crossing a 5 lane highway but parking isn't bad. "

"We did a little mini spring break vacation. Weather was not as great as predicted, but we made the best of it. The power went out in the basement and the host sent someone over to get it turned back on..we loved the place overall."

"Beach Gnome was the perfect Spring Break getaway in spite of the rainy weather. (The hot tub was wonderful!) Very comfortable and tastefully decorated, welcoming home with a well-equipped kitchen and convenient location in Kitty Hawk. "My family of 3 (and my dog too) loved the Beach Gnome! It was very clean and basically everything was brand new. Just a couple blocks to the sound and the beach. Lots of nearby restaurants and things to do. The hot tub was icing on the cake! Perfect after a long day. Village Realty was easy to work with too. Will definitely rent again!"

"The Beach Gnome was a beautiful home and exactly as described in the listing. It was comfortable, beachy, and modern. The outdoor area was lovely and had a nice grassy space to take the dog out. It was not fenced, so you will need to take the leash. We also loved the hot tub! The location was central to shops, restaurants, activities, and the beach. Definitely do not let the number of reviews deter you, this place is amazing!"

"Stayed 4 nights and 5 days in Kill Devil Hills with my mother and 3 girls. What a lovely house! Impeccably clean.. smelled wonderful! Well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms were lovely and roomy with great closets. My mother enjoyed the downstairs room with fireplace/heater on cold days watching TV. The hot tub was just what we need in the evening. We were able to walk about 3 blocks to the sound…quick drive with beach access parking for the beach. Do not hesitate to obtain this house for your vacation needs! Village realty was quick with responding to the one housekeeping issue that we had. A wonderful time !"
