Freestyle Surf-Inn is a newly renovated, dog-friendly home in the soundside Marsh Links community of the Village at Nags Head. Guests can enjoy views of the golf course, stunning sunsets and even a glimpse of the Albemarle Sound. Recent renovations to the kitchen and both bathrooms give this beach house a fresh and upgraded look. Stylish yet practical LVP flooring runs throughout the home, ideal for sandy feet and paws. After a day at the beach or exploring Nags Head, come home and relax in the spacious living area with vaulted ceilings and electric fireplace. It provides direct access to the sun deck overlooking the first hole of the Village Golf Links. When you're not dining out at one of Nags Head's popular restaurants, prepare meals at home in the updated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Take a relaxing soak in the hot tub before retreating to the primary bedroom, which includes a beautifully remodeled private bath. This suite is located on its own level along with a private sun deck for maximum seclusion. Two more bedrooms and a second full bath are located downstairs, including a fun space for kids with L-shaped bunkbed and foosball table.
Guests at Freestyle Surf-Inn will have access to the Village Beach Club from Memorial Day thru Labor Day and on weekends during May and September. Amenities include an oceanfront Olympic-sized pool, kiddie pool, lifeguarded beach access, restroom and shower facilities, tennis courts, and a snack bar/cafe with a full-service bar that also serves lunch. Located less than half a mile from Freestyle Surf-Inn, the Village Beach Club is a one-stop, everything-you-need destination for a full day of fun in the sun for the entire family.
Pets allowed - dogs only. No smoking/vaping. Ask about our Military Discount. Please note that the max weight limit for bunkbeds is 175lbs. on top and 275lbs. on bottom.
"The place looked like the pictures. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean and felt and smelled clean. I did wipe the refrigerator handle, due to small particles on the handle. There were no issues with any of the amenities listed, every thing worked as expected. We traveled with our dog. As a bonus, there are pet crates available in the house. I don't recall reading this in the listed amenities or maybe I missed it, this is worth knowing ahead of time . The location is quiet and peaceful. I brought 2 items up to the host's attention, they were responsive. There is a lot of going up and down stairs. Overall, great place with great amenities and within driving distance of restaurants and grocery store. I would stay here again."

"We really enjoyed our stay! The Amazing views from the deck were spectacular. Two suggestions I would like to make. The storm door needs to be repaired. The closure was broken, slamming each time and would not properly close. Also, we love outside showers, however we’re not able to take advantage of it. The shower needs a good power wash cleaning, it was very dirty and moldy. But overall, would consider this house for future stays. It was beautiful. "

"Very nice quiet stay. Very cozy. No condiments or extra toiletries so be sure to bring. Watch for golf balls. Players hit many in the yard. Rent some bikes too. Lots of areas to ride by the ocean. Very comfortable stay. We would come again for sure."

"The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed in terms of cooking and dining utensils. When we arrived we had issues with 2 sliding door screens. A polite and courteous Village technician repaired both screen promptly (within an hour of our text). A prior review warned of errant golf balls and we are grateful for that. We found golf balls all over the property including one next to the driveway. Fortunately the car was under the house. We found the neighborhood to be quiet, relaxed and well maintained. Many neighbors were welcoming and helpful with dining suggestions. We would be happy to return to this property."

"Beautiful and well-maintained house. My family of four found it very comfortable and with plenty of space so that we didn’t feel on top of each other. My only (very slight) complaint is that it lacked some of basics that You don’t necessarily want to buy for a quick trip, but would be helpful to have on hand (laundry detergent, coffee filters, and stuff like that)."

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at Freestyle Surf Inn! The Village Realty team was proactive with all communication and responsive to any questions we had. The house is tucked into a peaceful neighborhood in Nags Head. Close several beach access points including a cross walk at the entrance to cross over to the beach road, a neighborhood pier to watch the sunset, restaurants, grocery stores, activities (mini golf, Jockeys Ridge, Wright Brothers Memorial, Nags Head Woods)and more!! The home is very comfortable, welcoming, and easy to settle into. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen. The electric fire place was wonderful on cool nights. The home is well appointed with puzzles and games and a hot tub (we didn’t use it this trip). Lot of seating outside options inside outside. We would definitely rent this home again when we return to the Outer Banks. Thank you for hosting us!!"

"Very nice stay for the price point. Quiet neighborhood next to a golf course. The house is very cute with a lot of space both inside and outside with multiple decks. Only downsides were the Queen mattresses were very firm and not the most comfortable and some of the dishes needed to be washed before being used (part of the checkout involves putting away your dishes so I suspect it was the previous person staying there). Overall very happy and would stay there again."

"Great location - very close for short walk to the beach access or quick drive to public parking lot. Nice house with plenty of space with beachy, fun artwork/decor. Peaceful balconies to enjoy coffee or wine with the sunrise and sunset. Small annoyances of our stay was that there was not even small quantities of anything available for a traveling stay- no coffee or K cups, salt and pepper, etc. Could probably use an upgrade in the master bed mattress. Hosts are pretty slow to respond and you get essentially automated responses, but guess that happens with multi million dollar companies hosting you vs a private owner. Overall a great place and a great stay though. Location makes up for those things and was affordable."

"Beautiful house, great location (other than a golf ball going through our windshield but expected I guess when staying on the course). Would recommend leaving a book/pamphlet with info (trash pick up times, check out rules, pool pass instructions, hot tub maintenance times, etc). I realize now mostly all of these things could be found on the portal but did not realize that or get that information until our 2nd day there. Per initial instructions there would be a "bag" with this information and a gift. Could not find anything upon arrival so called and left voice-mail at office then received call back with appropriate details. House was 99.5% cleaned. I had to clean some hair out of the master bath shower when we arrived. Smoke alarm on kitchen floor is hanging off wall but seemed to still be plugged in. Other than those little things it was a great place!!"
