"We have stayed at OBX for the past 24 years and this year was the best. Village Realty provided excellent service: checkin/checkout was quick and all via text message. A small maintenance issue was fixed the same day we reported it. Corolla Light was wonderful with walking access to the beach, and fireworks. The community provided family activities all week, multiple pools and even an indoor sports facility. Payne-Free was a wonderful house and we will definitely book it again next year with Village Realty."

"We rented a brand new vacation house (M853: Just Horsin Around) that had the ideal location in Corolla, NC! It was short drive to the beach with plenty of parking. We were also close to cute shops and restaurants. There was a grocery store close by so we had the option to cook meals at the house as well. The kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, pans and other cooking essentials. We also used the grill one night at the house. The whole house was decorated beautifully and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out to do various activities. The communication ahead of our arrival and the keyless entry made for a streamlined check in and check out process. The pool and hot tub were ideal for our family when we had enough beach time for the day. They also had beach chairs at the house and a small sun shade that we utilized all week. That saved us from renting these things during our stay. The only negative thing about our stay was our booking experience on VRBO. The listing advertised a military discount. We booked over the weekend while Village Realty was closed. We did not want to lose the house, so we called VRBO to confirm we could book and still be credited the discount. We were advised to book. When we reached out Village Realty during business hours, we were told they could not credit us the discount since we already booked on VRBO. It was very disappointing that we were poorly advised by VRBO and that Village Realty didn’t make it right by us."

"Excellent all-around experience. We stayed at a condo in the Victoria Place complex in Kill Devil Hills. We were fortunate to book the unit for the week of July 4th. The condo was very clean and well-appointed when we arrived. The kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, and furniture were better than the typical beach rental, and the unit could easily support entertaining a larger group. We have no qualms recommending Village Realty to other vacationers."

"Th pet-friendly home we stayed in was lovely! It truly would be the beach house I would love to own! Perfect size, and ability for a large family to be comfortable in. We were in Duck for my daughter’s wedding and the location in Sanderling community was perfect. I would definitely look to stay here again should I travel to Duck! The beds were super comfortable! I can’t say about pillows as I always bring my own when traveling. Linens and towels are supplied. The home was well appointed and comfortable. Of course being on the beach with walkway access was the best feature! The management company responded same day to a broken toilet issue. They did not address the broken wine cooler (could not change temperature at all and it stayed on 11degrees) and I hope they reported it to the owners. The changes I would suggest is that every bathroom have toilet paper and soap available upon arrival, the kitchen have paper towels and dish soap available. This is basic needs that prevents someone who just traveled all day to get there not have to get back in the car to go to the grocery store same evening. The home was in good shape, light switches labeled (thank you!), had small appliances one needs to cook or make cocktails and smoothies. We did have difficulty with the internet. The windows need cleaning, but we enjoyed the view from outside!!! Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"We rented A Pointe of View Condo Villa at Windswept Ridge located in the gated community of the Currituck Club. We arrived on Saturday and with the exception of housekeeping leaving two large industrial size dirty linen bags outside of our door - all was clean. We did call Village Realty and the bags were picked up. Our unit was clean and well appointed with all possible needed utensils, dishware, cookware and a variety of games for an evening in. However, our washing machine and dryer were not working. We found this out on Tuesday, when attempting to launder towels and do a load of clothing. We traveled from CT and rented this unit with a washer & dryer as a paid amenity. We packed enough clothes for four days knowing that we could wash them mid- week. My husband went online and filled out a maintenance form for the washer and dryer and it stated someone would call soon. On Wed, at noon, we hadn’t heard from Village Realty so I called to inform them about our maintenance request from the day before. The woman I spoke with at Village Realty was pleasant and understanding and she informed me that a part was on order for the dryer - it just arrived *yesterday (?) - and they scheduled a maintenance tech to fix the dryer on Thursday = the next morning. At that time, I requested clean sets of towels - enough for all three occupied bedrooms - and was assured that housekeeping would deliver clean towels to our unit. We did receive clean towels that evening - thankfully! Village Realty has assured me that the maintenance tech will be here tomorrow morning so I will update with another review then. UPDATE: Thursday morning the maintenance tech was at our unit. He was able to repair the dryer and hook up the washer. Both units are working and we are grateful for the prompt service following our call for towels and working washer and dryer units. The tech was courteous, worked quickly, and we are now washing/drying our laundry. THANK YOU to Village realty for your attention to our concerns and for providing kind and quick service. We had a wonderful stay here - this is our second stay at Windswept Ridge Condos - and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. With the convenience of two pools for kids, a grocery store adjacent to the property and plenty of activities close by - this is a perfect locale in a beautifully decorated unit. We advise calling for bicycles two weeks in advance of your stay as they were sold out for rental upon our arrival. Suggestions for things to do: Sailing on the Sound - Take The Downeast Rover Sunset Sail out of Manteo- but book early in the week. This is a must do. We’ve gone twice on this particular sail boat and it is fantastic. Jet Skiing: Nor’Banks Sailing and Watersports - Take the Jet Ski Tour. You can rent a jet ski for less $ - but you are limited as to where you can go. We opted for the tour and we had a guided, 1 1/2 hour, high speed ride through the sound and marshes - twists and turns galore - and a chance to see and learn about “Duck” - that you won’t get anywhere else. Worth the money. Parasailing: Corolla Duck Parasail - also a fun time with experienced boat captains who made the trip secure and fun. We went miniature golfing, go carting and spent time at the ocean - along with plenty of shopping for T-shirts and trinkets. Enjoy!"

Unfortunately we were plagued with a stomach virus on our beach trip and Village Realty made sure we had plenty of clean sheets.
