"Wonderful stay even the night Micheal passed through. Winds were tremendous causing small damage to our home and minor damage to the house next to us. We were amazed how quickly the damage was repaired. Reported damage around 8AM to Village Realty, their emergency number and they were out to evaluate within an hour and the repairs started within 2 hours. Very responsive!"

"This was our first trip to the Outer Banks. I must say that Village Realty was so helpful. I had a ton of questions to ask and they politely answered all of them. Sometimes they even answered with a phone call to be sure I got all of the information that I needed. We were set to come in the middle of September, 2018. But we had an uninvited guest showing up a bit early, Florence. Fortunately for us, she took a Southerly turn and missed the area of the OBX where we were staying. Village Realty kept us informed of the evacuations and when we could expect to get into our rental. As it turns out, we lost only 18 hours of our rental as we were able to get in at 10 am Sunday morning. Everything was in good order. And when you consider that this company manages over 700 properties (I asked), that is no small feat. Our house in Kill Devil Hills was fantastic. It was as pictured and as promised. We had no problems getting there and getting in. The house itself did have some maintenance issues but they were no fault of Village Realty. We had about 5 things that needed to be addressed during our stay and they handled each one quickly. The only negative thing I can say is that they didn't communicate back to me when I would submit a maintenance request either by voice mail or by their app. It would have been nice to have had someone call and say "we got your message about the air conditioner. Someone will be out today." Everyone I talked to, from the vacation specialists to the maintenance department to the repairmen on site, were friendly and responsive to questions that I had. Per my experience, Village Realty is a top notch company in what they do."

"The House was beautiful and very clean.We had a wonderful time.Weather was absolutely gorgeous Sunny the whole week.The Bike path was the best part of staying in this gated community.Pool and Hot tub was great.A gas grill instead of a charcoal grill would of been nice.Would I come back and stay with Village Reality ? "The 10 adults and our 9 grandchild had a wonderful time. The house was so spacious we all had plenty of room. The washers and dryers were in constant use. Two of everything made life easy. The pool and hot tub were really nice and used quite a bit- especially by the kids. Even though linens were not there when we arrived, they were delivered early Sat evening and the staff made the beds. The house was very clean. Everything functioned well the whole week. The location is great. The grills are charcoal and unusable. You need to get a Weber-type propane grill with a lid and not force people to rent a grill. We had families of four that flew in and could not bring beach towels. Having the linen and towel service supply them is not asking too much for a house that costs this much."

"****UPDATE**** Bob Oakes, owner of Village Realty reached out to us. He was very accommodating and went above and beyond to remedy the situation to the best of his ability. We were very pleased with our experience dealing with him; and will be returning to the Outer Banks again and giving Village Realty another chance. We rented a home in Currituck Club with our best friends and their children through Village Realty. This is our first time in the Outer Banks; and the private pool and spa made this rental a win for us. The bonus we didn’t bargain for was the sewage treatment plant sitting right beside our rental home. It was absolutely disgusting and after contacting the rental office; we were told that the sewage smell is a well known issue at Currituck Club and we just “got it on a bad week”. Coincidentally, Village Realty fails to disclose that a poop plant is right next door to their rental home at 507 Meadow Lane...and in fact, all rental homes in Magnolia Bay sometimes get the poop smell. After much back and forth, we were offered a $100 refund of our $3,500 vacation for the “inconvenient smell.” Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. To be exact, my husband described it as “vacationing in the middle of some old man’s fart.” Trust me, go somewhere else. Your money will be better spent - even if you have to pay more."

"We recently rented a house through Village Realty for a week this summer in Nags Head. The entire experience went very well from booking it back in November to arriving on the first day. The house was meticulously cleaned from top to bottom. I really like the fact that someone from Village Realty comes to the house before the next guests are able to enter. They were very friendly, and allowed us to get in early as soon as they approved it for our occupancy. The Jersey shore could learn many lesson from the process that Village Realty has. Keep up the good work...we'll be back!"

"We had a great week at Pelican's Paradise! There were 9 of us (4 adults & 5 kids, 10 years old to 15 years). The kids immediately gravitated to the outside pool and spa area as the adults enjoyed the pool and deck furniture. The bedrooms were clean and spacious and the kitchen, dining, and living room was perfect for large gatherings. The access to the beach was a short walk (down the cul-de-sac) and was fine for the older kids walking back & forth. The beach was very clean and we enjoyed taking the long stroll to Jennette's Pier. It was aggravating or annoying having the Nags Head Beach Security constantly passing by in pickup trucks and 4-wheelers. I felt it was a waist of time and money with the constant drive throughs ( many times zig-zagging through families). The access to the pool and spa was spot on, especially having the two large outdoor showers near the pool. Overall, I would highly recommend Pelican's Paradise and look forward to returning to Nags Head, NC!"
