Throughout VR's communication was proactive and fantastic. They sent messages via their app, which was handy. They responded quickly and pleasantly to both app-sent requests and phone calls. "We visited Nags Head in May and used Village Realty for the first time. It was a good experience and we will definitely rent from them again. During our stay at the Fourth Estate Cottage, we had a problem with one of the two air conditioners malfunctioning. Village sent someone out to look at the unit right away and, when it could not be repaired right away, put in 3 window units that kept the house nice and cool for the remaining two days of our stay. The house itself (Fourth Estate) was great! Loved the old beach cottage feel (especially the claw footed tub in the downstairs bathroom) and the big wraparound porch. Climbing the sand dune to get to the beach was a challenge for an our of shape person like me, but it was worth it once you got there!"

"The planning of our family vacation started well over a year ago. We had 14 adults, 1 toddler, and 5 dogs! I had family flying in from Texas and as far away as Hong Kong. We had a tall order to fill to say the least! After researching several different real estate companies, and narrowing down many houses, something just didn't feel right. I finally made the decision to look into some homes in the Village Realty program and oh baby! I found the PERFECT house for us...JR22! Oceanfront, with a pool, pet friendly, and an awesome floor plan! Each couple had their own bed and bath and it was divided between 3 floors which allowed us some privacy in a house full of people.. and dogs! It was a seamless transaction between myself and Village Realty from the moment I made the decision to book the house until sadly, we had to check out. The Village Realty app was a nice touch along with the keyless entry that this home provided making "check in" as easy as it gets! We experienced some minor repair issues that were resolved promptly with no fuss and really they were so minor they could have waited until we checked out. Out of respect for the home owners, we reported them so that they were aware and could choose to fix if they wanted to. My whole family has commented on how much they enjoyed the house and what a wonderful vacation we all had. I can't say enough nice things about the house itself or the Village Realty staff and rental program. I highly recommend Village Realty as they went out of their way to make our family feel at home and so special for the week."

They saw to our every need, even stocked the fridge with our favorite vegan foods, after I explained to them that since we were getting in late from Arizona and wouldn't have time to get groceries before the wedding we were going to attend, they amazingly offered to take care of that for us and that is not the only thing they did, they also gave my husband and I a coupon for a free horse tour in Corolla! "Although we received the keys for another house at first, and the locks stuck with the second set of keys, and the house was VERY dusty- We had a fabulous time! The customer service was excellent and the house itself amazing. These owners thought of EVERYTHING you might have possible needed- The kitchen is extremely well stocked, they had 4 bikes, 2 scooters for the kids, and a closet full of extra beach or pool toys and supplies. Tons of blankets for the beds and pillows too. they even had an extra 4 cup coffee pot as a back up, which my sister in law used the downstairs bedroom- it was like her own hotel room! We were extremely happy with all these had had done to make our stay enjoyable! They even called to check on us personally! Bravo to the owners of Sea Sirens- We will be back!"

"My family has been renting from Village Realty for over ten years. We were in our rental house a few summers ago when our friends who were also renting from Village called to let us know that they were moving from one rental house to another. Their beach house rental had been struck by lightening (no injuries, no damage) which completely knocked out electrical service to their house. Village relocated them to an even nicer home quickly and they were very happy with the quick and excellent service. We like Village Realty so much, we ended up buying a beach home in S. Nags Head and we are lucky enough to have Village Realty managing it for us. Village lets us know the high standards that renters expect when they arrive - renters want an awesome house with super amenities. We know our renters will come to our beach house and Village cleaning crew will ensure it is perfectly clean, that the pool and Hot tub have been cleaned, and the Village maintenance will ensure that everything in the house including all the light bulbs are working. We know that our renters will get great service if they call Village Realty before, during or after their stay. We know that because we were renters and we got that great service. And we get surveys from our renters where they rate the service. There are lots of good rental companies on the OBX that you can rent beach houses from. But Village Realty is consistently great. And great is what you want for your vacation memories."

"Have been renting through Village Realty for 5 years now and have nothing but positive things to say. Houses have always been exactly what we had expected. On our most recent trip after a pipe on the AC unit burst the company quickly responded and arranged for us to be relocated to a new house and make sure we were taken care of. In what could have ruined the vacation it was a minor event and we were all amazed at how well they handled the situation."

"GREAT SERVICE!! We shopped around for houses in the Nags Head OBX area and found a great home that fit our needs perfectly. We had young children going as well so the home and amenities were very important. The house was great, clean upon entering, and we even got to enter a little early! The Village Realty staff was friendly and responsive the entire process through. I will say the way they went above and beyond, and showed they are very thorough as well as caring, is when we left the home AND FORGOT MY 3 YEAR OLD'S BLANKIE behind! Any parent knows this is a horrible mistake. I prayed and prayed the Village Realty crew would recover it, save it, and would get in touch with me about it. I emailed them the night I got back, and they emailed me back the very next day that they had found it and mailed it back to me. My 3 year old was so happy. They were already good in my eyes but something like that makes them GREAT. Thanks Village Realty, we will definitely be back but we will try to remember to bring everything back with us next time :)"

"We rented Mann Cottage, a classic Nags Head oceanfront cottage the week of Hurricane Irene. It was perfect for us and just as advertised online. Village Realty's service was friendly and professional throughout the reservation process and when we checked in, but the way they handled the evacuation notifications, which started on Weds night of our week stay, was especially good. They posted information on their facebook page and on Thurs afternoon a friend of the cottage owner visited to ask about our plans as they wanted to prepare the cottage for the storm. While I think that they could have (according to our rental agreement), neither the owner's rep or Village Realty pressured us to leave. Joe Lamb Realty gave the vacationers next door a few hours notice to evacuate on Thursday. But, we were able to wait until Friday morning before leaving, which was more convenient for our long trip home. The weather was actually beautiful in the days prior to the hurricane so the additional time was really nice. We even enjoyed a great meal at a restaurant recommended by the owner's rep and then went to see windsurfers on the bayside. What might've been a difficult end to our long-planned vacation, what with the confusion of the hurricane forecasts and the evacuation news, was as laid back as the rest of our stay. Thanks to Village Realty and a smart property owner."
