The fully equipped kitchen features generous counter space, a dishwasher, and breakfast bar seating so prepping beach snacks or family dinners is easy and social. Beach days are effortless with a community beach access approximately 0.2 miles down the street—just a few minutes’ walk to the sand along the neighborhood road. After time at the ocean, you can cool off at the Crown Point community pool located directly behind the house, with the community tennis courts lined for pickleball just beyond the pool for easy games with family and friends.

Multiple levels of decks, both covered and open, provide sunny spots and shady retreats so everyone can find their favorite place to relax—whether that’s lounging with a book, watching the kids head to the pool, or enjoying a quiet evening glass of wine. A ground-level outdoor area and convenient parking make loading in beach gear and groceries simple.

On the ground level, a flexible bonus space includes a daybed with trundle, small fridge, TV, and a full bath with a shower/tub combo shared with a bunk room—an ideal hangout zone for kids, teens, or extra guests.

The second floor offers a king bedroom and a queen bedroom, both with deck access and TVs, connected by a shared full bath with a shower/tub combo. An additional queen bedroom on this level features its own ensuite full bath, 32-inch smart TV, and private deck access, giving couples or grandparents a comfortable retreat of their own.

Up on the third floor, the main suite boasts a king bed, deck access, and a private bath with soaking tub and separate shower, providing a peaceful sanctuary at the end of each day. With bedrooms on every level, the layout works well for extended families, multiple couples, or friends who appreciate a little extra privacy.

Situated along NC12 in Crown Point, Zea Urchins is an easy sidewalk stroll from shopping, dining, and entertainment at TimBuck II and Monterey Plaza, where you will find grocery options, restaurants, coffee, ice cream, boutiques, and salon/spa services. In the shoulder seasons, you can enjoy shorter waits at restaurants and relaxed evenings wandering between shops or grabbing dessert with the family.

Historic Corolla Park, just a short drive away, offers soundfront sunsets, a playground, the Whalehead Club, the free Center for Wildlife Education, the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, and charming Corolla Village. For a memorable outing any time of year, head north on a guided Wild Horse tour into the 4WD area to look for the legendary Corolla Wild Horses, descendants of Colonial Spanish Mustangs.

This house was perfect for our group! The rooms had their own bathrooms which made for a comfortable stay for everyone. Every corner turned felt like a pleasant surprise. The house was clean and inviting. The hot tub was the best I have used and the outdoor space made for some fun hanging out together playing bags and listening to music. I love that there is no house to the right. It makes it feel a little more private and as if the pool is ours. The beach chairs were a nice treat and easy to carry to the beach, which was a nice short walk. Some beach chair straps were broken but we made due. There was also a toy box filled with fine beach items for the kids which was perfect! The only 2 downfalls were 1- not a lot of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and no coffee. 2- Check out time was pretty early compared to other rentals I have stayed in. I’m sure it’s due to the house being so big that it takes a long time to clean. But it was difficult to get a big group out on time and have cleaned up ourselves. But, these things did not damper our experience.

This is our 12th year coming to the Outerbanks. We had a wonderful time staying at the Zea Urchin. We came during peak season and the house did not disappoint. We had 4 teens in the downstairs bunkbeds. One friend who arrived later into the week and fit comfortably on the day bed. Everyone else took the upstairs beds. Previous reviews stated stains on the rugs- the rugs did NOT have stains and the house was perfectly clean. We loved the convenience of this location. Short walk to the beach, stores and restaurants and like others stated, the community pool was a stone’s throw away. It’s right behind the house and it’s a nice pool! We did need some extra cookware and it was delivered in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for having us!!

The upper space with living, dining, kitchen and outdoor decks was beautiful and where we spent alot of time together, talking and playing games. Great views. Location is 4 miles from the off road beach entry for vehicles-this is where we saw the wild horses. Close to beach, 3 min walk. Also about a 5 min walk to grocery store, shopping and restaurants. The house was well supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, trash bags, towels and a very well supplied kitchen that even had a waffle iron!! Loved the hot tub and that some could play corn hole in the same area. Great place for biking! Easy getting into the home. We had no problems so don't know how the response is if you needed to contact for any issues. We really had a great time and our family of four grown children and one daughter-in-law, want to do this again!! ps. loved the whirlpool tub!!

Our group included 8 adults & we had plenty of space and privacy in this house. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make dinner every night. The house was a short walk from the beach & some stores/restaurants. It was also a few-minute drive to grocery stores for all of those vacation treats! The house is a bit outdated, but kept fairly clean. Due to the height of the ceilings, there was some dust clumps throughout the top floor of the home so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. There was also a bit of a mosquito issue under the house near the trash cans, outdoor shower & hot tub which was unfortunate but we made the most of it with bug spray & purchased a citronella candle! Overall, we had a wonderful long weekend & any little con was far outweighed by the pros!!

My fiancé and I enjoyed our post engagement vacation here and it was simply the best! The neighborhood is great; quite, walking distance to beach access, next to a great shopping center where we enjoyed kayaking, eating, and shopping, and right next to the pool. House was very clean and comfortable. Since it was just the two of us we only used the top floor but the floor plan I believe would work great for families or friends to share!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Zea Urchin during the last week of March/first week of April. We were able to easily walk to shops, restaurants, and most importantly— the beach! The home was clean, and comfortably furnished. If you are staying in-season, the pool is right behind the house for extremely easy access. Just note that if you are staying out of season, the pool will of course not be opened and some of the restaurants and shops will be closed or close early! We vacationed with our 10 month old and were happy to see a baby gate, pack n’ play, and high chair provided for our stay. Corolla is far away from, “the main drag,” but if you are wanting a true beach-y, laid-back, and less touristy feel for your vacation this is the spot for you!
