THIS IS THE BEST HOUSE IN OBX! Our family has been visiting the Outer Banks annually since 2003, and Mercury Rising is by far our favorite home in all of the OBX! The location is perfect, and the home is beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable, and has absolutely everything large groups need for a fabulous vacation! There are 3 fridges, 2 dishwashers, private bathrooms for each bedroom, lots of cozy seating, and plenty of spaces indoor and out to spread out and enjoy! This house has a big yard next to a turtle pond that the kids absolutely loved! It’s perfectly located, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach in a great neighborhood…perfect for grandparents and kiddos! The beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen is totally stocked and well equipped for cooking for a crowd. The beautiful pool, hot tub, pool table, games, and gas fireplaces indoor and out made this trip perfect for our multigenerational family vacation. The neighbors are super friendly, and its within walking distance to the beach, grocery store, restaurants, and great shops. We are absolutely in love with this house, and highly recommend. My family (14 total, 7 kids, 7 adults) had an incredibly time at Mercury Rising on the Outer Banks. It was all of our first time visiting OBX and most of us came from the west coast and our trip couldn’t have been better. The location on Buck Island is great and very family friendly. Short walk to the beach, community pool/facilities and even to several restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. There is also a nice grocery store and other stuff maybe 1/2 mile away. Our kids loved seeing the turtles in the lagoon and playing in the big backyard and pool area. The home is beautiful with lots of open space and place for the kids to play together. The Village team was very communicative and responsive every time we had questions. Just know that beach towels aren’t provided so if you don’t bring your own you can rent from a company who will deliver/pickup or you can buy beach towels at a number of nearby places. The beach is really nice with lots of chairs and umbrellas if needed. We had a blast!- Posted: 7/6/2024
