CC059: Sweet Retreat

Sweet Retreat was definitely that! The home is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and spacious. Our group had a wonderful time. The pool was a welcome reprieve after biking and walking. The weather was perfect - sunny and hot for our whole stay.
Beds were very comfortable and linens were crisp and clean.
We did not know about the free bagels until our last day there. What a tasty treat!

Just about everything about this house was perfect. Kitchen was well equipped, house and pool were clean and the grilled worked (not always our experience with past rentals). Just a few minor issues that could improve a renters stay. Kitchen faucet had a leek unless closed off just perfectly. Water pressure was weak in main bathroom, but may be solved with a smaller shower head. Bath towels were small and thin. However these few items will not deter us from probably renting this same house again next August. The view of the bay and the sunsets was an unexpected surprise.

We had a great time in OBX. Rental was smooth with no issues. House was clean on in move in condition. I would use Village Realty again.

Unit: CC059: Sweet Retreat is now our favorite house in Currituck Club, we have one favorite in Pine Island and one in Whale head (for our large family vacations), but Sweet Retreat is PERFECT for when we have a small - medium group vacationing. The house is beautiful, the kitchen is so well maintained and stocked. The best part, the entire house was exceptionally clean. Thank you for the dozen bagels, that was so kind. We would highly recommend this house to others and would definitely stay again.

We loved our property and the location! All the amenities both in the community and at the house were perfect for our families. The inside of the house was beautiful, well maintained, and lots of space for everyone. The outside is gorgeous, however, the cobwebs and bugs everywhere was a lot. I know it says the house is power washed every 4/6 weeks but looks like it hasn’t been done in a while. Other than that, we would definitely stay again!

My family and I have been coming to the Outer Banks for over 15 years and this has to be the warmest week we have experienced. Fortunately the pool at this home was a savior. Sweet Retreat is a great home and we enjoyed once again.

To add to my previous review- the other families wanted to add that they loved the elevator, the double sinks in all but the half bath, and the labels in the kitchen made it very easy to put everything back! I also loved the selection of plastic and glass items, and stocked kitchen. Only thing the kitchen needs is a large stock pot for seafood boils! We used the grill lots though, and cooked daily! The house was also very clean upon arrival, amazingly so! Thank you again to the owners and village realty!

Four families agreed this was an amazing home. The community was wonderful, beach side amenities and proximity to groceries/shops/etc were great! But the house! Wow. From the decor to the layout, about as perfect as it gets. Wish badly there was more of a view but the house and pool are so great that it makes up for it. Slight view from the deck/dining room table. The near by 7th hole offered some of the best sunsets Ive seen, we took rented golf carts nightly. The pool was lovely, perfect depth and warm every day! Great sun exposure and kids loved the grassy areas. The cute frogs every night were also fun. We will hopefully be back sometime next year. This is my favorite house of the 7 I have stayed in.

We have been renting homes in the OBX for nearly 20 years, and this is by far our favorite home! That is saying a lot, because we have stayed at some amazing homes. We had an amazing time, and are very thankful for the opportunity to stay at Sweet Retreat.

The house was very clean, great layout, had an amazing kitchen with all kinds of dishes, pots and pans, baking dishes you can think of. Lovely stay!!
