CC205: After Dune Delight

We loved our stay at After Dune Delight! I immediately took up residency on the screen porch while my daughter commandeered the look out perch. The whole house was welcoming and well equipped for our retreat from the real world. Can’t wait to do it again next year ??

Our group of seven, two adults and five kids, thoroughly enjoyed this house for a week in late June. Every piece of furniture is comfortable and the house was fully stocked. There were numerous umbrellas and pool toys in the garage, and the umbrellas were very much appreciated on the sunny afternoons when the sun pours down. There is a little shade from the trees on one side. The trees also provide excellent coverage between the house on the right. The kitchen is fully stocked and nicely organized. The laundry room is right off the kitchen and makes for great additional storage. The Currituck Club trolley runs consistently and is about a one minute walk from the house; the kids often used it if they wanted to use the community facilities. We had zero issues. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures (the house must have been repainted since the pictures were taken because the widow's watch is a lovely shade of blue). So glad we got to stay in such a beautiful home for a week.

House beautifully decorated located in the Currituck Club lots of amenities including trolly to the beach. Fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals and cocktails.

“After Dune Delight” was simply delightful morning, noon and night! Our family had a most wonderful week and this home made our stay that much better. The outdoor deck, pool and hot tub overlooking one of the Par 3 holes on the golf course is perfect for relaxation & fun. There are plenty of umbrellas to provide ample shade as well which is a great plus. Inside, the home has every amenity you look for in a vacation rental: the bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, the kitchen is well stocked, the game room has a pool table and wonderful arcade game console and the Ship’s Watch offers a quiet retreat to read and watch the sunrise. The screened-in porch is perfect for morning coffee and meals during your stay. We also loved the 2 outdoor showers. The garage is complete w a 2nd fridge, plenty of beach extras and bicycles to take a ride through the community. The owners have decorated the home so thoughtfully which provides the perfect OBX vibe throughout your stay. We will definitely be back!

AFTER DUNE DELIGHT lived up to it's name!! From the minute you walk in the door you can tell the owners take pride in the home. Kitchen is fully stocked; game room is amazing, and pool area is spacious. Owners even leave umbrellas for that afternoon sun and golf watching! Plenty of room for all to enjoy! Shopping and good restaurants close by. Highly recommend this home.

After Dune Delight (CC205) was the nicest and cleanest house that my family has ever stayed in and we have been vacationing on OBX for over 15 years. The house had all of the comforts of home but on a much larger scale.

We were a group of 4 adults and 5 kids and this house was perfect for us! From the heated pool and hot tub to the pool table and. Arcade games- there was something for everyone! The house was clean and had well equipped kitchen. We are golfers and the ability to watch the golfers approach the 2nd green from the back deck was great entertainment.Would definitely recommend the house and would rent here again.

The house was above and beyond expectations! Even with a minor hiccup with the smoke detectors, staff was super friendly and fixed the problem in a flash without disrupting any of our plans! Would absolutely book again!

Our family had a great vacation at this awesome home. Pool, hot tub, screened porch to enjoy the outdoors. This home is very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen on the first floor makes carrying in the groceries so much easier. Kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking many meals with all the equipment and cooking tools. Close to grocery shopping, restaurants. Have stayed in Currituck Club for many years and this was one of our favorite houses. Also enjoyed playing pool and riding bikes.

Our family of six had an amazing stay at After Dune Delight. The house is fantastic and there was room for everyone. The bed in the master bedroom downstairs is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The pool and the hot tub were enjoyed by all. The kitchen has every possible amenity you can think of, even a nice crock pot. There is a washer and dryer and there are bikes in the garage you can use while staying there. The Currituck Club offers daily activities and also offers three community pools, sand volleyball court, tennis courts and basketball courts. They provide a beach trolley as well. The home is very close to dining, grocery stores, and shopping.We have rented several homes in OBX and we all agreed that this was our favorite. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great vacation home! We have stayed twice in this home and hope to return soon! The homeowner has gone out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. Not only is the view great but the pool, new hot tub, and screened porch make outdoor living a plus! These homeowners have gone the extra mile for their guests!

We truly enjoyed this beautiful house! It was clean and well maintained. We were able to quickly check-in using a keyless entry code. Beautiful spacious rooms. We loved the new hot tub and we couldn’t stay away from the pool table. Great family fun in a great golf community.

Went for a great family vacation. Lots of spacious rooms. Great Amenities. Kitchen fully stocked with supplies. Stunning view of the golf course & dunes. The top floor “crows nest” room is great to sit and relax. Beds extremely comfortable. Bathrooms were clean & spacious. Location was very close to groceries/stores/restaurants & beach access.

Great vacation home. A lot of nice upgrades compared to the 2020 season- THANK YOU! spacious, clean, very well equipped with all the necessities. Particularly enjoyed the new set up on the screened porch, now more like an outdoor room. The game room was once again a big hit with the family and of course the Ships Watch is a great place to watch the sun rise if you don`t want to make the trip to the beach at that hour. Was nice to be back and look forward to our future visits.

Booked two weeks for a “big” birthday celebration. House was fantastic. Large enough for everyone to either be together or do their own thing. Our group ranged from 2 to 70 years old and this house worked for everyone. Safety was key for parents of young children. Pool deck gated, steep staircase to Ships Watch also gated and screened porch latched so kids couldn’t get out front alone. We liked all that! Bedrooms available on same level as kitchen/living area and deck for those not so good on stairs. Pool area very sunny but nice umbrellas provided. Pool maintenance people showed up regularly. Driveway is on a hill which we didn’t spot in photos but wide enough for six cars if you need that. No parking on roads in the neighborhood. We did enjoy being in the private neighborhood as we had three runners who made full use of the quiet streets. Bikes in garage were really fun! We also had golfers in our group. We spent many a happy hour “encouraging” players on the 11th green. There is an excellent sound system that can easily be accessed by an app. It works on the deck and various rooms in the house. If you read “old” reviews they mention lack of technology but this aspect has definitely been improved. Big screen TVs all over the place! Loads of good channels and apps available. Kids loved it. Plenty of kitchen equipment if cooking is your thing. Over all a brilliant house. Loved it and definitely recommend it.

What a beautiful house! It’s large and spacious and we felt totally comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. ThereIs plenty of seating. The TVs are easy to use and are all streaming compatible in addition to cable. The beds are very comfy. Having a small child, we appreciated the children’s books. I enjoyed the book selection for the older folks. The game room is a ton of fun and unique. It’s also secluded enough that noise from that room doesn’t carry to other areas of the house. A nice spot for adults to hang out after kids go to bed. It was a bit cold for the pool but it’s a great size for the house with nice loungers and the hot tub was njce. The screened in porch WITH tv is such a nice spot in the house. It’s furnished with a dining table and great rocking chairs You and your group will be very happy if you stay here. The gated community is secure. There’s a playground, a Harris Teeter, and a number of food options very close by. There’s a continual trolley to the beach in the summer. Great location, great house!
