This timeless coastal retreat is tucked away back from the road and surrounded by nature trees for plenty of privacy. Nature lovers will appreciate the wooded lot, abundant wildlife and direct access to the creek for backyard fishing! Located on the northern end of Duck in the Sanderling community, Four Sons offers guests use of the community's soundfront pool, tennis court, and nature/walking trail. When it's time to hit the beach, use the nearby Blue Heron Lane boardwalk just a four-minute walk from the house.

The top-level living area's casual, open-concept design is anchored by a unique stone fireplace, available to use during the off-season for staying cozy on cooler Spring and Fall evenings. Windows galore bring the outdoors in and provide an abundance of natural light. The vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and original wood paneling add to the character of this one-of-a-kind home. Two sliding doors in the great room lead out to an expansive wrap-around deck overlooking the creek. Lounge in the sun or relax with a drink in hand while watching the sunset over the sound. Back inside, the well-equipped kitchen flows seamlessly with the great room and includes an island with bar seating.

All bedrooms are conveniently located together on the mid-level and feature stylish LVP flooring. At the end of the night, retreat to the primary suite with king bed and deck access. A barn door connects to an ensuite bath for plenty of privacy. Down the hall, two additional bedrooms and full bath will comfortably accommodate family and friends. Even your furry companions can be on the guest list when you stay at this dog-friendly vacation home.

The vacation was truly magical and we didn’t want to leave! We loved that we could bring our pup with us and she truly had the best week of her life with us! Kitchen was well appointed with tools, the recliner in the living room was perfect, master bed was so comfy! Having linens and towels already there was so great! And the beach access was a flat 5 minute walk. It felt like a private beach at some times, great spot. We’ll be back! Note that this community doesn’t allow golf carts - if that’s a dealbreaker for you.

Our family spent a wonderful week here and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Duck. The house was perfect for our family of 5 + dog—well appointed with everything we needed to enjoy the beach, peaceful surroundings, a beautiful view, a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed watching sunsets from the upper deck, taking beach walks with our dog in the evenings, and of course playing at the beach during the day.
It was hard to tell from the listing but the house does have plenty of beach chairs, a sturdy umbrella, a wagon for transporting beach gear, and several boogie boards. Bring your own beach towels, though, and some extra dish towels, hand soap, and dishwasher pods if you’re going to be cooking a good deal.

My family and I loved the nature trails all around the neighboring areas and saw tons of wildlife; bunnies, snakes, birds, and even deer. We also borrowed the 2 bikes at rental and biked around with our children. The walk through the nature trail to the beach was convenient. The enclosed decks were perfect for my dogs to run around but stay shaded. The community pool was beautiful with the sound and a dock beside it to look at more wildlife. It was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation with my family.

We had a magical long weekend at this home! It is quietly nestled under a canopy of live oak trees which make you feel like you're in a magical treehouse when relaxing on the many outdoor decks of the home. There is a stunning view of a creek and the sound from the porch which we loved watching sunsets from. Although the kitchen didn't have oils, spices, etc... it was equipped with everything else we needed to enjoy our meals! The location is fantastic - we walked across the road and down a wooded path to the beach in 4 minutes. The king bed is super comfortable and the bathroom jacuzzi tub and huge walk in shower was a plus! Living room was perfect for relaxing and playing games. We had a magical time and would return in a heartbeat! You are minutes from a grocery store if needed as well as plenty of wonderful restaurants. Highly recommend!

I loved the location with trees for privacy and yet could see sound and sunsets. Beach was a very short walk from house and visited often . House was clean and kitchen well appointed with cookware. Family get away with children and dog. Gate on deck made it easy spot to put leash on dog and water. Loved the creek behind the house. Many birds to watch. Duck is a nice town with nice restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at Four Sons. We would recommend this place to anyone wishing to be near the sound and wildlife. We loved just just sitting on the back deck eating dinner with the quiet sounds of the water. It was a very comfy place to stay for a family of 5.

Village's Place in Duck, NC is in a very nice area, the Sanderling community, primarily residential and more private and secluded than other communities on the OBX.
The house and the property are exceptional. The house is in excellent condition, well equipped kitchen, nice furniture, comfortable beds. The layout of the house allows for privacy on the bedrooms floor which is below the kitchen, living floor. The house is spotless and everything was in good working order. The property is well manicured and the surrounding vegetation and trees allow for privacy from the other homes nearby. The adjacent creek and myriad of nature trails throughout the Sanderling community add to the natural beauty of this property. Access to the beach is approximately 50 yards away and the beach in this area is spectacular. It was a pleasure dealing with Village Realty in booking this lovely home. The staff there are very responsive, helpful and professional.
