Description
Migrate south to the tranquil destination of Salvo and make Sandpiper your nest for the week. The oceanfront location provides your flock with direct access to a secluded beach and the sparkling Atlantic. From fishing and shelling to swimming and surfing, there are endless possibilities for making lifelong memories. Back at the house, the spacious great room overlooks the undisturbed dune line with a horizon view of the ocean. Gorgeous hardwood flooring is installed throughout, and the open-concept layout allows everyone to spend quality time together. The living area features plenty of comfortable seating and a 60" HDTV with home theater system. There's also a mini fridge for convenient beverages and a gas fireplace that can be used during Spring and Fall. Two sliding doors lead out to an expansive wrap-around deck where you can lounge in the sun or take a relaxing soak in the 7-person hot tub. Climb the stairs to the crow's nest to enjoy those salty breezes and panoramic ocean views. Back inside, everyone can pitch in with meal prep using the well-equipped kitchen. Sit down for a family meal at the dining table for ten, or al fresco on the screened porch. Also on the top level you'll find four of the five bedrooms arranged in a split floor plan with two bedrooms and one full bath on each side of the house. The fifth bedroom is an ensuite, located by itself on the lower level for plenty of privacy. Bed and bath linens are always included at no extra charge, and the beds will be made with fresh sheets and pillowcases prior to your arrival.
Sandpiper is just 1.5 miles north of the popular Salvo Day Use Area, where you can experience the other side of the island. Situated on the Pamlico Sound and maintained by the National Park Service, this family-friendly soundside beach includes a picnic area and restroom facilities. It's the perfect place for launching kayaks, kiteboards and SUP's. For more adventure, take a short drive south to Cape Hatteras where you can climb the lighthouse, go driving on the beach, or hop on a ferry to Ocracoke.

We had a wonderful stay and our teenagers enjoyed it as well! The beach was just a short walk from the house which enabled us to easily watch the beautiful NC sunrises while sipping our coffee in the morning and provided easy access for fishing as well. The outside shower and foot cleaning stations were perfect for washing off the sand when coming back from the beach. There was plenty of space both inside and outside for everyone to spread out and relax.- Posted: 7/26/2024

The house was great. We had 8 people and felt spacious. The deck is nice it is well stocked with kitchen supplies and had linens and towels. Beach was perfect and not many people on it. I would stay again- Posted: 7/21/2024

This is our second visit to the Outer Banks and stay at Sandpiper, we were here in 2015. This home is so very comfortable. We really enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is so well stocked with anything we could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.- Posted: 5/31/2024

9 of us had a memorable week here. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed walking to the ocean, and we also enjoyed the bay. We had a fun time biking and kayaking. We traveled to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse too!- Posted: 6/13/2024

Our family had a wonderful time here. We came to relax, get some sun, spend time together and just to enjoy the beach; and WE DID!!! This was the first time we have ever stayed at the beach for 2 weeks straight. We got to go around the OBX and see Hatteras, Ocracoke, and Bodie Island Lighthouse. As well as tour the Wright Memorial. Being able to be here for 2 weeks allowed us time to relax and sightsee which was amazing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Thank you for providing a relaxing and incredible location for our yearly OBX family trip! We love staying at different houses but this one is on the top of the list for repeat visits! We can't wait to be back! Our toddler loved this "beach house" and the "trees" that he got to walk under to & from the beach. We are big lighthouse fans so the decor around the house truly added to the experience. While nothing is peaceful or calm when "vacationing" with a toddler; we all had a blast! The Sandpiper was a really great place to stay at. It’s been nicely kept up. It has an excellent set up especially if multiple families are staying. The kitchen is in the middle with 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms on both sides. One more bedroom/bath are on the main level with the washer and dryer. The kitchen is stocked with pans, dishes, and utensils! The beach was much closer and an easier walk over the dune than it looked like in photos. We went off season so there was just miles of open beach. It was just gorgeous there.
Village reality was really communicative and helpful!
