This charming cottage was moved from the original location in South Nags Head to its new home on a corner lot just east of the popular Blue Moon Beach Grill. The Small Street beach access is just a 4-minute walk from the house, and the pedestrian crosswalk along with multi-use path make it safe and easy to get there. After a day of sun, sand and waves, come back to Salt Box and take a refreshing dip in your very own private pool. Inside, relax with loved ones in the tastefully furnished open-concept living area, or get dinner started in the well-equipped kitchen. The chef in your group will appreciate the center island for plenty of prep space along with stainless steel appliances, including a gas range. The den can serve as an additional hangout space and is furnished with a desk for staying caught up with work or school remotely. The primary bedroom features a private half bath, as well as access to a hall bath with walk-in shower. Three additional bedrooms and a second full bath will comfortably accommodate family and friends.

Situated on the beach road at Milepost 13.5, Salt Box is within a mile radius of some of the best shopping, dining and attractions that Nags Head has to offer. Nearby restaurants include Mulligan's, Dune Street Rawbar & Grill, and of course the popular Blue Moon Beach Grill right down the street. Several shopping centers are also close by including Kitty Hawk Kites, Surfside Plaza and The Outer Banks Mall, where you can grab your groceries and a dozen Duck Donuts for breakfast. Be sure to set aside a day to explore the other side of the island at Jockey's Ridge State Park, just a 4-minute drive from Salt Box. Climb the dune for a bird's eye view of Nags Head or use the park's public sound access to launch kayaks, SUP's or simply admire the phenomenal sunsets.

Loved the location and the fact that there was only one flight of stairs! My poor knees were especially appreciative. I definitely recommend Village Realty OBX and will use them again when visiting.

Lovely stay at the Salt Box! It is a very short walk to the public beach access which was perfect for us with our children! The pool was very clean and a wonderful temperature. If you go to the restaurant right behind the house, try the Fish n Chips!

We had such a great stay at this beach house! The location couldn’t have been better and the property was really well taken care of. Everything was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. A couple small things we noticed that could make it even better: the kitchen knives were super dull, so a knife sharpener would be handy. The pool area could use a little extra lawn/weed maintenance, and the air returns looked like they had some dust and mold buildup, so a filter change and cleaning there would help. Other than that, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful place to stay. We traveled from Ohio with our adult children. It was very clean and in a great location. Easy couple min walk to the beach and had a great restaurant behind the house. Our stay at the salt box was wonderful. The home was very clean and comfortable. We had a short 5 minute walk to the beach and behind the home was a great restaurant and bar. There was an issue with pool and one of the toilets but the real estate company was very responsive to the situation and made it right. Even with that being said, I would stay there again.
