JR5201: Fish Whisperer

Fish Whisperer is a beautiful, clean and comfortable home. The furnishings are really nice, and the kitchen is wonderful and well-stocked. The bedroom on the top level has a really comfortable mattress and wonderful bath with huge walk-in shower. It was really quiet at night. There are lots of closets and hangers, and the washer and dryer appear to be new. The decks have really nice, sturdy furniture. The large pool and fenced backyard are fantastic! Only issue was the pool didn’t seem to be heated as listed—possibly we were supposed to do something to turn it on but couldn’t find any info about it. The elevator is a game changer for getting the luggage and groceries to the 2nd and 3rd levels and was a God-send for my husband who had hip replacement surgery six weeks ago. I absolutely loved the paved walking path to the beach access. I enjoyed just walking on the pretty, serene path each day and sitting on the benches listening to the birds. I have been coming to OBX since 1973, and Fish Whisperer is by far the nicest and cleanest place I have ever rented. If I had the money, I would try to buy this house. I hope I have the good fortune to stay in Fish Whisperer again.

We enjoyed our time at Fish Whisperer! My family enjoyed our time in your home. My only recommendation would be to get better mattresses. We loved the peace and quiet during our stay. I hope to return in the future. Thank you

Great beach house, extremely modern furnishings and kitchen, had everything we could have possibly wanted. The heated pool and hot tub were the highlight of our stay, as it was quite windy and cold by the beach but the backyard is sheltered and feels private with a fence and a gap between neighbors on both sides.
The place looked even nicer in person than the pictures, and we were able to comfortably sleep 12 adults (with 4 sharing bunkbeds however) while still having lots of space, loads of bathrooms too so no waiting around for people to be done showering.
Plenty of parking available too, we were able to fit 2 cars under the shelter and one off to the side to still allow people to leave without needing to shuffle around cars.
All the best parts of Nag's Head and Kill Devil Hills were reachable within a 5 or 10 minute drive on quiet neighborhood roads.
The price when split between 12 of us worked out to one of the best deals in the area for this type of large beach-house too!

Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped home! We would stay here every year if we could (sadly, it’s already booked for next summer!) The beach was a quick walk away and the pool was great after a morning at the beach.

The house was beautiful! Accommodated 4 adults and 2 children wonderfully. We loved all the natural lighting and fresh air you get with the windows and sliding doors. Even though it was a little cooler, the pool and hot tub were still utilized daily. The elevator was such a handy bonus when it came to unpacking and packing up to leave. One trip up or down with all our stuff definitely beat having to do flights of stairs carrying it! 100% recommended booking this place if you’re considering it for your stay in the OBX!

Stayed in Fish Whisperer over the Memorial Day weekend. What a lovely home! I especially liked how well stocked the kitchen was and how super clean the entire house was. The roominess allowed everybody to have their own space. So pleased with our choice of this home!!!

This house is the total package. The home is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. Great location, an easy two block walk to the beach access point. The backyard was perfect for our dog and felt very private. It also has an elevator which was convenient for off loading luggage and groceries. Overall just an immaculate property.
