Built in 2013 and meticulously maintained, Work Trip is a charming coastal cottage that still looks and feels like new construction. The oceanside location means you'll be just a short walk to Asheville Drive public beach access - less than 500 feet from the house! After a day of fun in the sun, come home and take a relaxing soak in the bubbly hot tub. Inside, a comfortably furnished great room features hardwood flooring and a coastal-inspired color palette. The 9' ceilings and an open-concept layout make the space feel bright and airy. When you're not dining out, prepare meals at home in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bar seating for two. At the end of the night, retreat to the top-level primary suite with king bed and spa-like private bath.
Downstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and a second full bath. There's also a spacious den with pull-out sofa that can be used as an additional hangout space or for alternative sleeping arrangements. Grab a chilled bottle from the wine fridge and relax on the covered patio. This cozy outdoor oasis overlooks a lush and barefoot-friendly lawn perfect for kids, pets and yard games.

The stay was lovely. Easy to find and centrally located in Kill Devil Hills. The house was clean, just be warned the local grass has a lot of prickers and burrs that we were pulling out of the dog’s coat and feet. Comfortable for 5 adults and 2 dogs to hang out together but still have separate space.- Posted: 11/12/2024

We could not have asked for a better house. It truly was perfect. The layout was great, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the decor made us feel at home. We stayed at the house the weekend of May 17, 2024. Easy check in. I liked the texts with the updates and instructions. Very convenient. The house was nicely decorated. Lots of kitchen stuff. Beds were comfy. It rained and was chilly our entire time, but we loved going to the Wright Brothers Memorial. It’s a must see! Great location, quiet area. Very relaxing. Sawyer's Sandcastle is a beautiful house perfectly located near beaches, restaurants and attractions. Most of all it felt like we were walking into our summer home! Our little pup had a smile from morning to night. Morning coffee on your private deck is a must!- Posted: 5/2/2024
