I just got back from a weeks stay at Sawllow’s Nest at Kitty Hawk, NC (September 28, 2024 to (October 5, 2024). I love this place because it is so comfortable with lots of sofas, fireplace, and a huge dinning table off of the kitchen for gathering around to eat or play games. Fortunately, for everyone, there is a second livingroom space with a large tv and comfortable sofas for the younger folks in our group. I found the kitchen was well stocked, but I left that to other people as I’m not much of a cook. I loved my comfy bed and that I had lots of hot water for showers. There is a hot tub too, and a glider swing set on the patio which is another great place to relax. I especially loved sitting on one of the many decks catching the ocean breeze. October is really the best time when the days are warm and the evenings have a hint of autumn. The house is a 3 minutes walk to a beach access, but if you drive it takes about the same amount of time to get to a public beach access with parking, a water hose for rinsing feet, and gentle steps to an overlook with a resting area, and then - there you are walking on a beach with almost no houses for a mile. I would stay here again.

I always use Village Realty to book my outer banks vacation because they have the best rentals and their customer care is spot on. This property was absolutely perfect and pet friendly with fenced in yard, stair tamer so you don’t have to carry your bags up all those flights and yards from the beach. Really beautiful property and I would recommend it without reservation.

We have been staying in this home for years and this was the first year under Village Reality. The upgrades were fantastic.

My family and I stayed at Swallow’s Nest in April and there was plenty of room for everyone, with four bedrooms and two gathering areas (one with many games and jigsaw puzzles and a card table and chairs tucked away) and another room with a pool table and foosball game. The house has lovely art work in every room, making the whole house feel warm and welcoming. When you first open the fence into the carport, the atmosphere is cheerful with rugs and outdoor seating, leading to the patio out back with more seating, a picnic table and the large fenced in back yard. Perfect for grilling outdoors. Our dog loved it, but we had to be careful to keep him out of the new bushes. The walk to the beach was short and easy and the beach really wide with no houses sitting on the dunes to interrupt the view.
