This year we decided to not get an oceanfront home for our yearly family vacation but our priority was still to have a beautiful view. And this house fit the bill!! Situated on a little estuary right off the sound captivated us as we watched herons, otters, sea snakes, and fish jumping right out of the water! The sunsets were spectacular! We found the handicapped beach access for my son at Corolla Lighthouse and we could roll his wheelchair straight onto the beach! The house was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for cooking all of our meals. We loved the seperate drink fridge for all our beverages! Great location. The Sunset views are amazing (note, you will also see a large cotton mouth cross the marsh every AM !) The house is well appointed, comfortable and clean. Hot tub was fantastic! Beds and living room furniture very comfy. Great large primary bathroom (might want to add non-slip treads in the primary shower.) Easy walk to pool, beach or sunset bridge with the pups. Short drive to shopping. Nice bikeable area. Only wish there was a kayak launch close by. There were no closets for guests in master or kids bedrooms (both locked off by owners). Should use cubby next to fireplace in primary to create a closet or put an armoir for hanging clothes. Also, not enough drawer space in primary (esp without a closet). Some of the interior trim needs repainted (railings, newel posts) and kitchen could use a better faucet and a garbage disposal. Front porch steps need repainted. Great home in a wonderful location! The kitchen was well stocked and the furnishings were comfortabe. Easy access to the beach and the sunsets over the bay were the best. It was really enjoyable to be able to include our family dog on our vacation.- Posted: 8/24/2024

This house is GREAT! The views of the sound and sunsets are incredible. Loved watching the wildlife. The bedrooms are big and have king-sized beds, and cool bunk beds for the kiddos. The kitchen has everything you need. The washer & dryer look new. The hot tub seems brand new and is a definite upgrade from the normal beach version. You can watch the sunset from the hot tub. There is a fenced back yard for our dog, which he enjoyed. The beach access is very close. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It is in a gated community with gym, pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, etc. Could not be more convenient. We like to stay here twice a year!- Posted: 5/11/2024

We love, love, love this house. We have stayed here three years in a row for our vacation and it is perfect. Wonderful sunset view over the sound, house is well appointed, and theres even a brand new washer/dryer this year. The house has a great layout, lots of windows and screen doors to open for those great waterfront breezes! Also, an amazing TV in the living room for movie nights. This is our second visit... the first being 21 years ago... for our honeymoon! Weve checked if this home was on a rental program from time to time but never saw it until this year. We were not disappointed. The unit has been well maintained and is well-appointed. For the most part, clean at check-in and we loved our week here. The sunsets are the best!- Posted: 7/11/2023
