After renting this home every year for the last three years, this has become our home away from home. (We already have it booked for the same time next year.) This house is super clean, bright, and wonderfully decorated. Its well equipped and comfortable beds. The sound views are amazing whether it be the sunset, or watching the wildlife in the sound go about their business. It is such a quiet and tranquil spot on the sound, you will fall in love with it like we did. We also had plenty of space for my grown kids to come with their families as well (it fit 10 very comfortably). You can easily see when you walk into this home, the owners take loving care and a lot of pride in this gem and it makes your stay that much more enjoyable.- Posted: 7/11/2023

We loved the house. It was very clean and had all of the kitchen utensils we needed. The deck could use a good power washing. Lots of dead bugs but other than that, we loved the layout of the house. Would rent there again.- Posted: 7/11/2023

This house was wonderful! It was bright, clean, and spacious. I went with three other adults and four children under 9 years old. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pool is small, but it was perfect for the kids. The view is beautiful, and we loved to sit on the deck in the comfortable chairs to look at the sunset. The house had very comfortable beds, so sleeping was easy. The house is also close to the public beach access, which had parking in the morning and evening when we went to the beach. We never used the trollies, but saw them driving around. Everyone working at the club was friendly and helpful. We really just liked everything- Posted: 7/11/2023

LOVED the sunsets from the back deck! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. The house had plenty of room for all of us to relax and enjoy. I would have liked the rental to have supplied shampoo and conditioner, as well as toilet paper for the entire week.- Posted: 7/1/2023

We loved sound escape. I was a little worried based on the pictures that we would have an obstructed view of the bay but that wasn`t the case at all we had a gorgeous view and enjoyed the stars at night and sunset views. We loved the captains chairs and porch swing. We thought the house could have been cleaned better was dirt under carpet and furniture and the pots and pans were a disaster- they needed organization all of the cabinets did. Only used grill twice and gas ran out and the spare gas tank was empty. In spite of these set backs it was a lovely home with an excellent location to Beach access and I would stay there again. Been visiting OBX for 30 years and this home was a favorite.- Posted: 8/1/2020
