NHCA33: New Beginnings

We loved this house. My kids loved having a second floor balcony that overlooked the living room. My only “complaint” is the master with the king is on the second floor connected to the room with multiple beds by a Jack n Jill bath. It wasn’t a big issue, just didn’t realize this when booking. Fan in the downstairs bathroom is really loud. Probably just needs tightened.
Overall we liked the convenience to our favorite places and having the canal at the back was fun for the kids.

We stayed at New Beginnings in early October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Despite it being later in the season, the weather was warm and we still spent almost every day outside. On the warmer days, we went to the beach which is an easy 10min walk to the public access on E Small St. On the cooler days, we suntanned on the dock where the breeze is blocked a bit. My partner fished off the dock and caught many flounder, red drum, and pinfish with light tackle. On the days it rained, we checked out the local shops, our favorite of which is Sea Green Gallery (highly recommend). The kitchen was well-stocked which allowed us to cook majority of our meals, however we did order delivery to the house from Nags Head Pizza company and Plaza Azteca, both of which were fantastic. The deck and balcony offered an awesome view of the sky and we spent many evenings/nights outside watching the sunset and star gazing. To finish out an awesome week, we saw several manatees that ventured into the canal behind the house before continuing their migration down to Florida! Overall, the house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. New beginnings is a really special place in a great location and we look forward to our next stay!

Our stay here went great. Prior to check-in, plenty of information was sent by the host which made check-in a breeze. The place was very clean and matched all photos and descriptions. We would love to my stay here again and would give a 10/10 stay here to anyone looking for a recommendation.

We loved the house!! Very peaceful and quiet. Great location! Loved having the canal there. The beds were a little uncomfortable.And I’d suggest TVs in the bedrooms. But it’s a great house and I’d definitely recommend it and stay there again! Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

We absolutely loved this rental. It was bright and cheerful, and we loved sitting outside and getting the sun in the morning and listening to the birds. It was right on a canal that leads out to the sound so it’s very easy for paddle boarding and kayaking. There’s also a little access to the sound for wonderful sunset viewing each night. The couches were cozy and comfortable. There’s plenty of dining room and a nice big spacious kitchen. It’s close to a nice beach access and great restaurants, there’s also very nice outlet mall nearby. It’s a great location close to Jockey’s Ridge and also easy drive down to the Hatteras ferry for Ocracoke access. Village Realty was wonderful to work with as far as communication and access to the rental. It was very easy to check out. We loved the Dunes and Grits Grill for breakfast, Surfing Spoon, and Blue Moon Café as well as Mama Quan’s and the Mongolian grill. Of course, our first stop was to Sam & Omie’s for steamed shrimp, chowder & coconut cake.

Great stay! Loved the location! We brought our boat and loved having our own dock! You could hear the ocean while sitting out on the deck.House had everything we needed. Would definitely go back!!

This vacation home was perfect for our 4th of July long weekend stay. It is obvious that the owners have given serious thought to making the home exceedingly comfortable and user-friendly. The beds seem brand-new, the updated kitchen appliances are gorgeous, and so easy to use, and the outdoor spaces just extend the options for gathering with friends and family. The location on the canal, to our surprise, was one of our favorite amenities. Being right around the corner from the grocery store didn't hurt either. We plan to stay here again in the future!!
