Situated on a cul-de-sac in a quiet soundside neighborhood, Moon's Doc provides a secluded location while still being just minutes from shopping, dining and attractions. Two nearby beach accesses are less than ¾ of a mile from the house and both provide free parking. Guests can also take advantage of the town's multi-use path and crosswalk at Hollowell Street for riding bikes to the beach. Jockey's Ridge State Park is within biking distance as well, so be sure to set aside a day to visit this living dune system - the tallest on the East Coast! Climb to the top and fly a kite or simply take in the ocean-to-sound view of Nags Head.

This property is a perfect rest from the excitement of the nearby beach and bustling traffic of the Outer Banks. The property has ample parking with both screened and unscreened porches. The combination kitchen, living and dining room offer an open feel that is perfect for a beach vacation. The bedrooms are well-sized with comfortable beds and exceptional storage space. On the extremely small list of complaints, the front screen door is a bit strong, there was a propane grill that was unlisted for use, and the outside shower will require some spider web removal. I will gladly book this property again in the future. It is less than 3 minutes drive to ample public beach access and a quick 10 minute walk to a state park on the bay. There are multiple 3-4 mile running routes for anyone hoping to get a quick workout. Internet service was high speed and accommodated 4 adults easily with zero blackouts. The air conditioning was stellar and kept everyone comfortable. Access grocery stores is less than 10 minutes away with multiple restaurants serving a variety of food.- Posted: 7/5/2023
Wanted to show my cousin all the reasons why I love OBX, only had 3 days, but we had a great time. The house is very well kept. My truck fit underneath, which was great with the rain and the heat. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the back entrance toJockey’s Ridge.- Posted: 6/30/2023
Overall a really positive experience! Property was clean, spacious, updated, and well furnished. Our family was very comfortable. Checkout procedures are so reasonable and much less taxing than many other places we’ve stayed. Great location and value. Loved the flexible sleep options, comfy recliner, multiple TVs, on site laundry, large walk in shower, and screened in porch with swing. The minor negatives: The beds were super uncomfortable - hard as a rock with scratchy bedding. We didn’t get much sleep on them. There were also raccoons in the attic that were so noisy, though it seems they were being dealt with, as there were traps set around the property. I wish there’d been a few extra sets of towels. One bath towel (and hand towel and wash cloth) per person for a week’s stay was tricky. The master bedroom exterior door needs a deadbolt, and the exterior door to the porch could use blinds, because people can see straight into the family room from the street. Moon Doc's was very nice, the house offered everything we needed, the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and cook wear, the furnishings were very nice and the house was very clean. The only complaint is that the screened porch was not clean ..... the screened porch was one of the features that attracted me to the house and sadly, I had to go out and clean/wipe down the furniture before we could sit on it. Overall, I would rent the house again and I would recommend the house to future renters.- Posted: 5/1/2023
