Don't worry about not bringing your favorite four-legged friend with you, Knot Of Sound Mind is a dog-friendly OBX vacation home! The kitchen is fully equipped and features breakfast bar seating and everything you could need to prepare meals on your Outer Banks vacation and a living area to relax in and watch some favorite movies and plan your next days adventures.

You’ll also have access to the community pool with outdoor showers, bathroom, and elevator access! There's a community pier that provides direct, private access to the sound for crabbing, kayaking, or windsurfing.

Nearby are great local restaurants, shopping, and numerous family attractions. Jennette's Pier, Jockey's Ridge, and Bodie Island Lighthouse are all in close proximity. Just a hop, skip & a jump to a fun day exploring Manteo, a relaxing morning watching the birds on Pea Island, a sunny afternoon swimming at an uncrowded beach, or even an exciting offshore fishing trip from nearby Oregon Inlet Fishing Center or Pirates Cove Marina

We were lucky to book Knot of Sound Mind last minute during the busy summer season as it was brand new to the rental market. We had a wonderful stay! The condo had everything we needed, it was very clean and it was perfect for our group size (grandparents, parents and toddler). There’s a nice view of the sound and we really liked the decor the owners chose. It was the perfect size for our group and we appreciated that it was dog friendly so we could include our pup. The community pool was also great and never crowded. It’s a short drive right across the street to the beach.We had an issue with the air conditioning one night where we awoke in the middle of the night to the heat suddenly blasting. The rental company couldn’t have someone come look at it until the next morning, but we were able to reset the thermostat ourselves. Overall we highly recommend this condo and hope to be back. We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday and Father’s Day here, thank you!

We had a great time at this location. It was across the street from a public beach access. Down the street from lots of shopping. Within a 5-15 min drive of several sightseeing locations. The condo was clean, had enough space for the 5 of us. We love that it was pet friendly too!

The weather was a bit rainy but that never stops my love for OBX. The condo was great and cleaned very well. No problems at all and we were able to get an extra day stay. It was a great experience and vacation.

We had a family getaway and chose Sugar Creek for its location. The unit was wonderful and easily suited the 4 of us. The unit was well stocked and the furniture comfortable enough for all of us to eat, watch TV, play cards. The location was close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Would recommend this unit to others.

Great property! Comfortable and tasteful furnishings, including the most comfortable mattresses in a rental I have ever stayed in, well-stocked kitchen, and the unit was nicely maintained. Great views of sunsets on the sound and a convenient field in front of the building to walk dogs.

Short stay

Overall property was a s described. All things in the home worked well. Couches needed a bit of updating and shower drain was sluggish but overall it met our expectations and had everything we needed for our three night stay.

This condo was wonderful. It had everything you could ever need for your stay. The furnishings and fixtures were in wonderful shape for a rental property. Really felt like our home away from home. We did have my mother with us and she has limited mobility. The beds were a little high for her but we made it work. The pier was wonderful for crabbing, fishing, and launching our kayaks. The pool was nice for a quick dip before dinner. The outside showers were also a nice addition. It is just 2 blocks from the beach but a bit of a walk with no crosswalk, so we just drove over most of the time.The condo is on the first level which was nice for walking the dog, the steps are right outside the door and they have several large grass areas for potty breaks. It is close to Jeanette's Pier, The outlet stores, and a short drive to Manteo. We had a wonderful week.

The place was great, close to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately young kids above us were partying till 3 a.m. Next summer would rent on 3 rd floor.

We loved this property because it was so roomy and had everything in it that we needed from everything in the kitchen to all of the games that were provided. We loved that it was on the 1st floor and that it was pet friendly.

We loved the place and our Vacation. We worked around the rain sigh. The only thing I would say is I wish the condo had a mop because the floor was very Sandy when we arrived, and I wanted to be able to clean it up as we came back from the beach better. It also needs a sponge to wash dishes manually because not everything always goes in the dishwasher. The private bathroom before was very Soapy, and didn’t look like it was cleaned. Overall, the evenings were beautiful views of the sound and it was far enough from all the congestion if people and still super close to be at the beach. Everything in the condo was great and could tell the owners put thier time and quality into it. Highly recommend this vacation home. The village realty staff was super friendly.

We were thrilled to return to Sugar Creek! And this condo was the best rental we have ever had. From a cleanliness point of view, it was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedrooms were nicely furnished. The owners must have a strong decorating gene, as this condo was beautifully decorated. At the time we booked "Knot of Sound Mind" for December, we also booked for February. We are both looking forward to returning in 30 days!

Beautiful place to escape

My husband and I wanted to spend Christmas in our piece of heaven, the Outer Banks of NC. We also wanted to take our two year old ShihTzu, Loki, with us. Searching for the perfect pet friendly place, I found this beautiful condo. Another plus was that it is located in the same complex, Sugar Creek, as a condo we once owned. We were thrilled to return to Sugar Creek! And this condo was the best rental we have ever had. From a cleanliness point of view, it was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedrooms were nicely furnished. The owners must have a strong decorating gene, as this condo was beautifully decorated.
