The Mermaid Lounge boasts an incredible location overlooking the Roanoke Sound and the magnificent dunes of Jockey's Ridge. This newly renovated and thoughtfully furnished townhome is perfect for small families or couples. Take advantage of a variety of community amenities, including two outdoor pools, pickleball and tennis courts, clubhouse and playground. Admire the stunning, photo-worthy sunsets from the 400 ft. soundside pier with gazebo. Guests will have direct access to the sound with a secluded beach area and a boat ramp for launching small vessels and water toys. Kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing, fishing - the possibilities are endless for a fun-filled day on the water. When it's time to hit the beach, two nearby public accesses are just a short drive away and provide free parking. The central location in Nags Head means you'll be minutes from a variety of shopping and dining options, as well as attractions including Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head Fishing Pier, and Dowdy Park.

Thoughtfully decorated and furnished, the Mermaid’s Lounge is perfectly situated with views of the west corner of Jockey’s Ridge and the Roanoke Sound with Manteo in the distance. Home is perfect for couples and small families. Only minus? No cable. Plenty of streaming options via Xumo Play and Vizio. Watched too many Midsomer Murders episodes. There are worse habits. It was very clean, decorative & beautiful view as well as spacious for our family of 4. The only recommendation I have is to tell renters that there is no blow dryer, grill or spices. Otherwise we loved the place & will be back!- Posted: 7/28/2024

I could go on and on about the visit my mother and I had here. It was beautiful, the house but also the amenities allowed you to explore the peaceful surroundings. Instructions for arrival and departure made things even easier for the trip. Will always remember the trip to mermaid lounge and will hopefully visit again.- Posted: 5/24/2024

Nice quiet area. People were friendly. Could walk directly to the sound side but also very close to the Atlantic beach areas. Cleaning could have been a tad better. Could still feel sand on the floors when we got there and there were some small sticks on the rugs so you could tell they hadn't been vacuumed. The beach blanket was sitting outside on the lawn furniture and it was damp and smelly. These was minor items as we thoroughly enjoyed our time and the place was cozy and comfortable.- Posted: 9/1/2023

Great location at the very end of the Villas property. It was quiet, away from the hustle and bustle and had a great view of Jockey Ridge State Park and the sound. Nice spacious condo and very nice amenities at the Villas.- Posted: 8/26/2023
