This charming beach house is located on the oceanside in Corolla's popular Whalehead neighborhood. Retreat to your very own backyard oasis where you can spend time poolside or hang out in the tiki bar that offers a full-size refrigerator and dishwasher. Have a fun game night of pool in the rec room or end your day relaxing in the hot tub on the deck over the tiki bar. The spacious great room has two sitting areas, dining space for everyone, and a well-equipped kitchen with two dishwashers. Four king en-suites and three more comfortable bedrooms give everyone a place to unwind for the evening and prepare for their next day's adventures.
Wish You Were Here is in a prime location in Corolla, where you're a short walk to the beach, and close to the Timbuck II shopping area, which includes a myriad of shops and boutiques, a grocery store, seafood market, produce stand, and delicious restaurants. Climb the Currituck Lighthouse for the stunning ocean to sound views, visit the historic Whalehead Club, or drive a short distance to Carova to see the famous wild horses roam the shoreline. Great house. Great location. Only complaint was there was a lot of loose trash left by the pools from the previous renters. Refrigerator drawers were broken. And oddly the first rental we had with no spice cabinet. Not even a salt and pepper shaker.- Posted: 8/1/2023

We loved our house! It was well stocked and had so many great amenities. The only problem was that the day we moved in, the house had not been cleaned as we had expected and that is taking in the fact that it is a beach house. We contacted the VR office and they immediately sent out a cleaning crew to clean it to our satisfaction. We would rent it again.- Posted: 7/1/2023

“Wish You Were Here” is simply a beautiful beach house, with every possible amenity. One block from the beach, plenty of parking, private pool and hot tub, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, cornhole, plus a Tiki Bar! And then there’s the inside!!- Posted: 6/1/2023

This house literally had it all! Our family of 7 adults and 8 children were very comfortable throughout the home. The kids enjoyed their space in the basement, volleyball court, and tiki bar. The puzzles throughout were a great touch, and we also enjoyed putting together a few puzzles too. The kitchen was well stocked with everything our family needed, as well as the tiki bar. The ice maker in the tiki bar and extra beach chairs were very much appreciated, too! TVs are in just about every room, but we had a difficult time working the main one in the living room. The remote is not user friendly. This is our 3rd time in Corolla, and this was the best home we stayed in. The location of the home is perfect! We hope to return! The home was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 5 children! We were able to enjoy the wonderful pool and fun tiki bar; and the ocean was a quick walk from the house (less than 1000 feet). The home was very clean and comfortable- and the kitchen well stocked with all the necessities (plates/bowls, drink ware, pots/pans, platters, etc). We appreciated that there were plenty of beach chairs and some other beach accessories for adults and kids. Multiple decks and plenty of Adirondack chairs gave our family space to kick back and relax. The bedrooms were very nice and beds comfortable. The bathrooms were average (they could use an update). We all loved the framed puzzles and enjoyed playing games and eating our meals at the large dining room table. The owners love of their home is evident and we can’t thank them enough for sharing it with us! We would love to come back again!!!- Posted: 7/1/2022
