WH602: My Happy Place

My Happy Place was absolutely beautiful for our honeymoon, great distance from activities & the beach! We loved the pool and hot tub for the afternoon/evening time definitely a spot we’d book again!

Me and My wifes forst trip to Outer Banks was wonderful. First time ever renting a house so I was a little skeptical. But the moment we walked thru the door we were taking away hope beautifully kept and clean the place was. Village kept in constant contact throughout by email and text and they were always nice courteous and helpful. By the end of our trip I was already looking at places for the next. I will be using Village again as you should too. Thank You

The property had everything we were expecting. Enough room - we used all bedrooms including the bunks for kids. Pool - we especially liked the saltwater pool. Access to the beach - only 3 blocks on a sidewalk to the Dolphin St access (and Whalehead Beach is very nice, not too crowded). Access to shops - so close to groceries and everything else you might need while still being quiet (couldn't hear the road noise at all). House had games and bikes we weren't expecting. The only cons were that the property needs some TLC - carpets cleaned, check all lights and replace bulbs (oven and in-pool lights are out), restock some kitchen items (only 2 wine glasses and 3 plastic wine goblets), some beach/pool available for use need to be tossed because they are so old and in poor condition, upgrade to gas grill if possible, the hot tub needs to be shimmed to be level (it sits on sloped concrete that is meant to drain rain water but then the hot tub water does not sit level since it's not shimmed).

We really enjoyed our stay at “My Happy Place.” We loved the set up of the pool and hot tub area. There are some improvements that can be made but our stay was not affected by any of it and we would definitely book this home again. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the home.

House was great! Very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Would consider renting it again.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at My Happy Place. The house had great deck spaces, an open top floor, and a bonus game room on the bottom. The beds and furniture were decent and in good shape. There is a basement fridge and a new washer dryer as well. The beach and shops were just a short walk, so you can avoid taking out the car. There was a beach cart, chairs, and bikes (need tuneups) available for use. The only complaints were how the dirty the pool gets with leaves, dead frogs, and berries. Maybe a better filter or additional cleanings are needed. There is a rug in the dining area which makes food cleanup harder. The sliding door screens are in poor condition (ripped screens, need WD 40). We had rented Landes Dream (in poor condition) last year, so we were thrilled with My Happy Place. We hope to rent again.

This house is amazing, great location for an easy walk to the beach and a great neighborhood. The house is loaded with mostly everything you will need during your stay.

We were very impressed with everything. We had a very relaxing week and so enjoyed all the things this house had to offer especially the hot tub and pool. It was a lovely surprise to find the property had bikes too. And the game room on the first level is really nice. Thank you for a beautiful Experience!
