We really enjoyed our stay at Daydream Believer the last week of July. This was our first stay in Buck Island, but we previously had a family house in the Currituck Club and have been coming to Corolla for the past dozen years. Buck Island was better in almost every way! We had a total of 15 adults and 4 kids so the bedroom layout worked out well. The house location is great, being a block from the Food Lion strip mall and 2 blocks from the shops at Timbuktu. We were pleasantly surprised that parking at the beach was never a problem and the walk was only a bit over 15 minutes. No more waiting for the trolley or the uncertainty of parking at the public access lot and the long walk to the dunes there. This house has a good pool and hot tub that stayed consistently hot with no trouble. There is a small playground for my grandkids to play a block away, next to the community pool, where my niece swam laps. The house was very comfortable and had a wonderful blue sectional on the third floor that was in constant use. We watched the Olympics a lot on the TV using an Apple TV we brought and hooked up using the provided instructions. The elevator worked well and was really helpful getting our 15 year old lab up and downstairs. The kitchen was spacious and we cooked most nights. Lighthouse Bagels is a 5 minute walk and highly recommended. The middle generation went out to Sundogs Grill and bar while my wife and I babysat the kids - it was great they could all walk and not worry about driving or finding a Uber. A few things were broken when we arrived (ground floor shower didn’t work due to broken tub spout, outside shower was disconnected, chair arm was broken on third floor) but Village Realty was responsive in getting them repaired. In the case of the showers there was another working one both inside and outside on the ground floor so no real impact. One other comment on the house layout - the small space over the stairs on the top floor (like a small loft) was a great place for the kids to play with their toys but still within sight of the blue sectional and a welcome surprise. Again, I recommend Buck Island in general and specifically Daydream Believer!

House was perfect! Location was walkable to beach, community pool, grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Everything clean and nice. Kitchen well stocked and even had crockpots, air fryer, nice blender, etc. We had a great time. Village Realty was great to work with. Will definitely use them again!

Daydreamer Believer was a fantastic vacation home. Very conveniently located to shops, groceries, and the beach. 8 bedrooms with 8 bathrooms was ideal.

we really enjoyed our time at outer banks. Our location was perfect with the restaurants and shops across the street. Our home was filled with everything you needed to make our meals. Games just made it The kids loved to see the turtles. Chairs supplied every day made it easier for us. Love outer Banks.perfect for night time activities.

Place was immaculate. Filled with all kitchen utensils, books, games- everything we needed, not to mention pool table, hot tub, and pool. So everybody had everything at their fingertips, including obeach chairs and umbrellas at the beach. So all my family had things to do and enjoy. And there was a food market and ice cream place a half a block away!

The house it's self was very nice, lovely and well appointed with nice decor and the kitchen was great. The closets need to be more organized. And one of the toilets was running when we walked into the house and there were messed up blinds in the living room, my brother, who likes to fix things straighten it out also and a broken blind in the owners suite. I was concerned that we might be held responsible, so I called and someone was sent right away for the toilet, but when he got there, my brother had gone ahead and fixed it, it still happened a couple times but we fixed it each time, it was the toilet in the landing powder room if you want to replace it or the owners replace it. I did call again because 2 of the bedrooms didn't have towels and we were using all the bedrooms, someone came by the next day about the blinds and I said not to worry since we are not responsible, I did tell him about the towels and a couple of hours later, he dropped a large bag of towels off to us, which we really did appreciate. We had my 97 year old dad with us and he likes a fresh hand towel every morning to shave with, so thank you. I did my best to put all the dirty towels back in the bag that was dropped off to be thankful for the use of them. We did try to leave the house as clean as possible. I do appreciate the quick service for the calls I made. Thank you so much. Hoping we can come back again next year, thank you!
