The corner unit layout and third level elevation provide a quiet setting, stunning views and abundant natural light. In addition to the Shallowbag Bay and the surrounding marsh, you can see Bodie Island Lighthouse, Jockeys Ridge and Roanoke Marshes Light from the condo. When you arrive, skip the stairs and use the building elevator to send up your luggage and groceries. LVP and tile flooring flow throughout this entire dog-friendly condo - you won't find any carpet here! Both the living area and primary suite open up onto a private covered deck overlooking the sound.
Shallowbag Bay Club is a quaint boating community situated along Roanoke Island's Scarborough Creek. The full service marina offers fishing charters and boat slips (please contact the Dockmaster in advance to make arrangements if bringing a boat). Additional on-site amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, grill, fish cleaning station, and a clubhouse with pool table. In the evenings, stroll along the boardwalk and out to the boat docks where you'll find a front-row seat for watching the spectacular sunsets. You won't have to go far for great food and drinks, since the waterfront restaurant Stripers Bar and Grille is conveniently located on the first floor of the same building.
Be sure to set aside a day or two to explore Downtown Manteo, truly a hidden gem of the Outer Banks. Browse an eclectic array of unique, locally owned businesses including boutiques, galleries and eateries. Walk to the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse for a trip back in time, or cross the bridge over to Roanoke Island Festival Park where you'll find The Pavilion Outdoor Theatre, a live-entertainment venue with lawn-style amphitheater seating that hosts concerts and festivals throughout the year. When you're ready to hit the beach, you'll be just a quick ten-minute drive over the bridge to the Nags Head public accesses with free parking.

Village Realty went out of their way to provide a standard height table for us. Due to my wife's disability a counter height table does not work for her. Village delivered a portable table for us and picked it up when we left. Kudos to Village Realty- Posted: 9/7/2024

The condo itself was very nice; clean, nicely decorated, everything worked, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. The extra trash bags, soaps and paper products are always appreciated. The negatives were having to vie for parking with restaurant customers and reserved spaces and to listen to the barking dogs. Luckily, the restaurant was never too crowded and I think many of the unit weren’t occupied.- Posted: 9/15/2024

Bay Dream was Beautiful!
We had a lovely stay! The property is in a really nice location, with a lot of light and great views of the water. It was a perfect place for us to work from for a few days, with ample space to set up our laptops and reliable internet. Village Realty does a great job making checkin/checkout process easy, and I appreciated their proactive communication to ensure we had everything we needed for the stay. Only a few small points that were less great: the unit is mostly sparkling clean, but there was some mold accumulating at the base of the shower door along with some hairs on the wall in the shower of the primary room’s bathroom. We also noted some water collecting in the tray of the AC unit after we heard some high pitched ringing from it at times. Last thing that was less than ideal was that toilet paper was the only paper product provided - we sought out our own Kleenex and paper towels to have on hand during the stay, and would have picked up some coffee and coffee filters as well, but the coffee pot didn’t appear very clean so we opted not to use it. Luckily McDonald’s is right by the complex entrance and easy to grab a daily coffee from! We had a great time and will definitely book here again next time we’re in the area for a trip!- Posted: 8/28/2024

The complex is very nice, with a good restaurant/bar on-site. I wish the complex would have had luggage carts. good thing there was an elevator, but a luggage cart would have made it a one-trip from the car to condo, vs five trips.
