The Lost Colony – Outdoor Drama
(typically runs end of May-end of August)
The longest-running outdoor drama, witness The Lost Colony to learn about some of the earliest colonization of the “New World”, right here on the Outer Banks. Independence Day Fireworks
(July 4th, 2025)
Each year over the Fourth of July there are numerous fireworks displays up and down the beach from Corolla to Ocracoke. Be sure to check back on our blog for the 2025 schedules. Remember, all fireworks are illegal on the OBX and these displays have been permitted and approved by the localities.
Pirate’s Cove Billfish/Alice Kelly Tournaments
(typically held in early August)
Two spectacular fishing events over two weeks! Pirate’s Cove Marina plays host to the annual Alice Kelly Ladies Only Tournament, which raises money for local charities, as well as the annual Billfish Tournament, taking place immediately after.
