SH56: One Particular Harbour

It was a lovely stay. A very beautiful peaceful location that’s just a short walk to the beach! I highly recommend this house. A short drive to most of the local attractions and a lot of deliveries available right at your fingertips.

We loved our stay here! It was easy to walk to the beach and enjoy the ocean/time in the sand but we also made full use of the pool and hot tub at the house. We really enjoyed how private and quiet the house felt, while still being an easy driving distance to Duck and Nags Head, if we wanted to eat out or do other activities. Overall, our stay was fantastic and we would definitely recommend for someone looking for a more laid back outer banks vacation.

We loved everything about this property. It was a short walk to the beach, centrally located to see Outer Banks sights, and was very clean and organized. We prepared most meals at the house and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with any pots, pans, utensils that we needed. Since the weather was less than ideal we really appreciated the assortment of puzzles and games. I would highly recommend this property.

Nice private location. The setting in the trees gives the house a very private feeling. The house has plenty of space and outdoor seating. The well stocked beach closet was a nice surprise.

The house was wonderful! It was spacious, clean and very inviting. We absolutely loved our stay and the location was perfect to everything we wanted to do. Check-in and check-out was easy and Village Reality was very easy to communicate with. We would book here again.

There are so many things to like about this property. It is clean, spacious, and is in a convenient location. It is a short, easy walk to the beach. The wagon, chairs and beach toys were an unexpected surprise. Loved all the balconies on each level but unfortunately the weather was not ideal while we were there so we could take full advantage of the beach or the pretty seating areas outside. We did enjoy the large selection of books, puzzles and games that were provided. In spite of the weather we truly enjoyed our family time at this rental property.

The house was very clean, spacious and inviting! We absolutely loved the home and our stay. We were close to everything we wanted to do. Village Realty was easy to work with and they answered everything in a timely manner. We will definitely be back.

The unit was very nice as advertised. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The kitchen was adequately supplied. The walk to the beach was not bad, and there is a parking lot across the street from the public beach access. However, my interactions with Village Realty were disappointing. I reported a number of maintenance issues (8 burned out lights including the one for the outdoor shower and broken controls on the hot tub) upon arrival and was assured that they would be corrected. No one from maintenance ever showed up and the issues remained unresolved at the end of the week. I was told by Village Realty that the unit did not supply beach chairs only to find out after renting chairs that there were some at the unit. I thought we were supposed to have a check-in package at the unit since it has a keypad lock, but there was only an empty bag. Worst of all, apparently VRBO rentals through Village Realty are completely non-refundable once the deposit is made. The party we were going to travel with had to cancel months ago, but I was unable to reschedule or obtain a refund. I have been renting thru VRBO for years but have not had this problem in the past when I have had to cancel a rental. Although they refunded $100 after I returned home, I would have rather have not had to deal with these inconveniences.

The rental process was super easy. If I had any questions they were answered almost immediately. The house was beautiful, very clean, more than enough room for two families (4 in each family). A little walk to the beach but worth it in the end! Loved that this place was in-between Kitty Hawk/Kill Devil Hills and Corolla. Lots of great fun things to do around Southern Shores. The kids loved swimming in the pool at the house and the hot tub was great!

Roomy and well-equipped home in a quiet neighborhood with a very short walk to the beach. Beautiful pool/deck area with 2 outdoor showers. Enjoyed cornhole, pong, basketball, puzzles, pool and hot tub not to mention the terrific bag of beach game equipment.

Thanks for a beautiful week in your home again. We love the area and beach area is great, because it`s not crowded like so many areas are. We were surprised with the new living room furniture which is very comfy. We enjoyed just to be outside and enjoyed the beach, pool and being able to rest and relax. Looking forward to next year and maybe later this year also.

The house was clean and suited our family very well. We were 2 families with 4 kids total, under 5 years old. We loved having the pool and hot tub for after the beach. The Kitchen is well appointed with pots and pans, but doesn’t have any spices so make sure you bring your own! We assumed that might have been because of covid. Communication with the property management company was great. We had a small hurricane during our vacation and they sent a couple of messages with updates, which was helpful. The walk to the beach took about 7-8 minutes through the neighborhood and across a street with a light. It was close but with kids needing to use the bathroom and naps, we made a lot of trips back and forth! It was our first trip to OBX and definitely won’t be our last.

We loved our stay at One Particular Harbour! The home was extremely clean (and I'm hard to please). We unfortunately visited during a week of rain so we only got to the beach a couple of times. It was an easy walk to the beach and only took about 10 minutes with chairs, toys, towels, and 2 little kids in tow. When the rain cleared we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. While it was raining we played games and lounged on the screen in patio reading books or played table /tennis corn hole on the covered patio. There is a beach storage area that has lots of "extras" to use and enjoy (beach chairs, floats, sidewalk chalk, beach toys, etc.) The kitchen was well stocked (we cooked every meal in the house thanks to COVID 19) and even used some amenities not in in the listing (including a Keurig)! We used the outdoor charcoal grill and were lucky enough to find a coal chimney in the beach storage! I would absolutely recommend this home. It was the perfect fit for my family and the perfect get away for some great family time!

The house and area were wonderful. Great times at the house, enjoying the scenic and quiet view in the wooded area. Pool was nice, walking distance to the beach, and we`ll stocked kitchen and home. Yes we had a few friendly wasps visit, but not severe. Weather was wonderful and all of us had a wonderful time at this house.
